The school has undergone a huge transformation and was re-opened in September 2006.  Highlights of the changes: 

• 700, 800, 900 wings were demolished.
• The buildling is now mainly two stories
• preservation of part of the old amalgamated structure ensure that previous classes can recognize the school they graduated in 10, 20 or more years ago.
• New Science Park - integrated science labs
• Upgraded Shops
• New Fine Arts Suite
• State of the art fitness centre
• A brand new gymnasium with a gleaming 14 832 square-foot wood floor sorrounded by banners of past championships.  Lindsay Thurber now contains the province's largest high school gymnasium.
• Brand new cafeteria, that offers catering services to outside events
• Modern Languages Wing - now offered are Japanese, German, and French,.
• no more Gym 602/404 (now Drama, Band)
• A lot of the art work that was on the walls was saved, and small pieces were placed throughout the new areas.

There are now 250 students in French Immersion, 200 students in special programs, 175 Students in International Baccalaureate and Honors classes.  We are also host to International students who travel from countries all over the world, staying with billets, to study at LTCHS.

Come celebrate twenty years with us! Sip margaritas and catch up with your classmates. Dinner will feature a build-your-own taco bar, with chicken, steak and ground beef, salsas, veggies, nachos, and other Mexican delights.

• Free parking is available in Lot C by the front doors of Red Deer College.
• The FarSide Bar & Grill is just inside the main doors and to the left.
• A complimentary cab service will be available to see that everyone gets home safely.
